Two Plus Three
Although we had a basic script for the entire presentation, in which we covered what needed to be discussed on each slide, I also decided to write my own quick script for the slides that I would be talking about. This meant I could go slightly into more detail and ensure I didn't miss any bits out. Here is the entire script:
Slide 1:
Two plus three –
· Our creative partnership has been formed from two friendship groups
· Two represents Harrison and Sam
· Three represents Issy, Ellen and Laura
Slide 2:
Creativity comes from a conflict of ideas –
· Each person brings contrasting aesthetics to the table and this enables an innovative solution to be produced
· Our team consists of two editorial designers, two packaging designers and one digital designer catering specifically for branding and identity
Slide 3:
It is the weight, not the number of experiments that is to be regarded -
· We believe that quality matters over quantity, and always make sure that we allocate an appropriate amount of time to complete each brief
· We work closely with our clients to fully understand their needs
Slide 4:
Do not say a little in many words but a great deal in a few.
· Branding and identity
· We know who we are and we understand our morals
Slide 5:
Target audience –
· Small independent business owners on a local and national scale
· We do consider clients on a global scale however we have to firstly asses the work load and their values
Slide 6:
Tact is the art of making a point without making an enemy –
· Working collaboratively with the client so that each party is happy
Slide 7:
List of clients
Slide 8:
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line –
· We are situated at Duke Street Studios in Leeds
· We are located here because it has direct access to all major cities in Great Britain
· It is also really handy to meet up with clients on a one to one basis
Slide 9:
· Rest satisfied with doing well, and leave others to talk of you as they will.
· We are aware that we will always have competitors and so it is important to be able to remain modest
Laura’s quote
Slide 10:
Cost –
· Use Sam’s list
· Why we are charging this per hour
Slide 11:
Start up plan –
· Entrepreneur fund
FINAL SLIDE!
And here is the script that I wrote for myself, just covering the slides that I am talking about:
- (Leading on from Laura talking about not worrying about what others are doing) And we don't worry about other studios in terms of costings either.
- We make sure we are charging the right price for the work we are producing.
- Like we said before, quality over quantity. This leads into our pricing.
- Discuss the figures, focusing on: Monthly overhead of £1252, which is £15, 012 per year. Working 281 days per year means we need to be making £53.42 per day and when working 8 hour days, this will be £6.75 per hour. However, we also need to add a salary onto this, making it a total of £61.75 per hour.
- We charge our projects hourly, but don't give a fixed price when first starting a project. We would estimate a timescale in which we would complete the brief, and thanks to regular and frequent meetings with our clients could ensure that the timescale is agreed upon and any changes to it could be made well in advance.
- Here are our e-mails, which would be one of the main sources of contact between ourselves and our clients.
- We all have our own e-mail which means that our client can be in direct contact with whoever may be working on that project, allowing for the most effective outcome that everyone is happy with.
- We also have a general e-mail, which would be the first point of contact. From here, we could then meet the client, assess the project and upon agreement of the brief we could then assign the correct members to it.
