This design merges two photographs whilst using text and the contrast between black and white to make an aesthetically pleasing design that forces the audience to really look at the work. I like the structure of the design, the way in which it has been considered, balanced and designed. The use of black and white within the text and the imagery works very well, enabling the text to be legible and the photographs to be distinctly separate.
This is a fairly simple design that focuses on the use of simple shapes and collage to produce a more interesting design than just the photograph alone. Triangles have been cut and pasted in various places to form a pattern within the design, creating visual interest and disguising the individuals identity.
This is a design that has then been almost cut up and transformed with the use of block shapes of colour; the shapes creating a pattern that almost hides the original picture at first glance, forcing the viewer to look closer. I like the use of colour within the design, the red from the original image really standing out from the rest of the piece.
This is a very simple collage that consists of one photograph that has been cut into numerous pieces before being put back together. I like the layout of this image and think, due to the way in which the images have been placed so close to each other, it seems very compact and compressed.
This design, named 'Coastal', I find very aesthetically interesting and pleasing due to the simplicity of the entire design. It is made up of simple shapes, a basic layout and various colour schemes that work seamlessly together.
This is an example of landscape photography. However, I find this one very interesting due to its geometric appearance and structure as well as the colours within the image. There are many straight lines and smooth curves within the image that make for a very structured and rigid quality; the colours often emphasising certain curves and elements of the image such as the plane, which has become the focal point due to the high contrast the blue has with the rest of the photograph.
